Ki-Gass priming pump - Small Type

Ki-Gass priming pump - Small Type

£399.00

These have been specially commisioned by us due to the unavailability of these in even usable condition originals. They are quite perfect in every detail and are an extremely high quality item.

Please Note: If this pump is to be used on a pressurised fuel system, you will need to fit a non-return valve in the pipeline to the ki-gass pump from the tank.

These are superbly made to the original Dunlop design that has a cast main part, supported by a spun alloy cover and is complete with access hole for the tyre valve and bronze bearings. The brake lining is steel, and the main casting is in a modern aluminium alloy and not the magnesium formerly utilised which rots so easily. These wheels are extremely costly to mak, due to the very complex design of the times. They come either in natural finish or for a little extra, painted in the Dunlop bright silver finish.

*** Please note that these wheels are made to order items***

This earlier design is made up from an aluminium alloy extruded rim, coiled and welded together. This is riveted to two spun alloy discs, which are then riveted to a cast hub, which takes the brake drum. This design is even more complex than the 15" wheel, and entailed investing in many 100's of feet of extrusion and other major tooling. Again supplied either in unpainted metal, or for a little extra painted in the traditional Dunlop bright silver paint.

6A/374 - A.S.I. Air Speed Indicator Mk.IVC (Cat No AVG173)

Range 40 - 210 Knots, this is the large size ASI, as fitted to 1st WW aircraft, but allows for an increased speed range; it was designed to be fitted to 1920’s military naval aircraft (being in knots) and was in use up to the late 1930s, in such aircraft as the Hawker Nimrod and Osprey, Fairey Fox and many other types. This instrument has now been completely dismantled and fully reconditioned but will require check calibrating before use, which we can do. There is the AM and Crown stamp on the rear, plus the 1st WW ‘A’ over an arrow, meaning its history goes back a long way. It was a luminous instrument but this material has been professionally removed, though it may have some residual background radiation from affected nearby parts; at least the harmful dust has been all removed. The figures have been re-painted in a brown colour mimicking decayed luminous paint. On the dial is painted by hand in minute writing ‘19/9/36’ which will be a repair or overhaul date.
