Large Brass cigar (?) Box, RAF
This is beautifully made and is 7.5" wide, 5.1/4" high and 3" wide. On the top is an early RAF enamelled badge and a piano type hinge on the back. It is lined in blue shot silk, and the thickness of the wall of the box is 5/16", probably made of wood with a brass edge at the top. We cannot over emphasise the quality of this item, and it has clearly been made by a highly skilled silver smith. It is quite heavy, but there is no key with it, though doubtless a lock smith could make one. There is no known history with it.
