5UE/4986 – Fuel pump, as fitted to some Spitfires and perhaps the Sea Fury

These extremely rare items appear unused or reconditioned but are sold as UN-TESTED.

We will always replace with another, or refund (not including p&p) if there is a genuine major fault with the unit; this warranty is limited to a 4 week period only due to the high value of the item. Any returned must not be tampered with and not dismantled in any way.

We are prepared to carry out a Function Test on the item, for £60 plus VAT.  This is NOT a release to service certificate but is simply that when a voltage is applied, the item rotates.

We are prepared to also supply a Certificate of Release to Service, but this will require the pump to be fully overhauled in accordance with the appropriate manufacturer’s repair and overhaul manual, and even though these are new/old stock items, they often require a considerable amount of work that could include rewinding the motor, replacement of rubber covered internal wiring, gaskets, bearings and seal replacements, fuel flow and pressure check and other items and can only be estimated on after an initial examination, which will cost £150 plus VAT.
