Range 40 – 160 MPH, this is the large size ASI, same size as fitted to 1st WW aircraft, but allows for an increased speed range. It was designed to be fitted to 1920’s military aircraft and up to the mid 1930s, in such aircraft as the Hawker Hart and Audax, the Bristol Gamecock, Bulldog and many other types. This is a capsule movement which were much more reliable that the rubber diaphragm type of the 1st WW era. This instrument has been completely dismantled and fully reconditioned, but will require check calibrating before use, which we can do. The maker was S. Smith & Sons. Catalogue no. AVG 367. Ultra rare, this is only the second one we have seen in 40 years. £2,220
