FAQs

We’ve put together some commonly asked questions to give you more information about Aerovintage and our services.

I have some vintage aircraft parts, can you tell me how much they are worth?

Unfortunately we are unable to provide a valuation service. We recommend searching recent aviation auctions for the same or similar items to help with indicative values.

Why do I have to request a shipping quote and how long does that take?

To automatcally calculate your shipping costs online, we have to add the weight of each item into our website database, and the truth is that we have such a large number of items in stock that we just haven’t got round to weighing them all (yet!). Therefore, you may find that you are unable to purchase some items instantly online and are instead asked to ‘request a shipping quote’ from us. Once you’ve selected that option it will automatically email our team, who will be in touch with a quote within 2 working days.

I need some help with my order, how do I contact you?

The best way to contact us is via our contact form. Please include your name, phone number and order number (if applicable) and someone will you back as soon as possible.

I have some aircraft parts/collectables/books, would you be interested in buying them?

Generally, the answer will be no. However, if you think you have something really special, then feel free to get in touch, however please note that we never agree to purchase without physically inspecting the item at our offices in East Sussex.

Do you provide made to order items?

We no longer provide individual made to order items online. However, if you are undertaking a restoration and require engineering services, please contact our sister company Retrotec to discuss your requirements.

Can you help me restore my vintage aircraft?

Absolutely! Our sister company, Retrotec, offers a comprehensive range of services from design to manufacture, including the rebuilding of complete aircraft engines and their components. All Retrotec’s work is underpinned by CAA A8-21 (Manufacturing and Design) and A8-25 (Maintenance) accreditation and years of unrivalled experience. For all enquiries please contact us.

What payment methods do you accept?

Payment can be made via PayPal or BACs. Unfortunately we are unable to accept payment by credit card.
